Meandering Path:
Embodied Counselling Melbourne
Somatic inquiry, counselling, and coaching for embodied authenticity and agency

“You’re exactly where you’re meant to be, meandering along a crooked path.”
- Martha N. Beck
Healing doesn’t happen in the mind alone. When we focus solely on the narrative, as our culture often does, a gap remains between knowing and inhabiting our experiences. By listening to the subtle languages of the body, we can soften old survival patterns and grow capacity to make new choices and meet life’s crooked path with resilience, regulation and self-knowledge.
Meet Ever: Creator of Meandering Path

My approach to embodied counselling views both mind and body as aspects of a singular human experience. My intention is to include all aspects of the somatic landscape - physical sensations, emotions, thoughts, memories, energetic experiences, and more - in the counselling process with equal importance.
My practice is informed by my lived experience as a human with mixed heritage, queer, non-binary, and divergent identities. I am endlessly fascinated by human relationships - my interests in attachment theory and authentic relating underpin how I work. I see the world, people and society as fractal and am curious about how the micro connects with the macro.
I am deeply grateful to have come across this work, which continues to support me with
• Navigating toward grounding and regulation amidst life’s stresses
• Connecting more deeply within myself, my relationships, community and ecology
• Accessing a sense of agency and practicing embodied boundaries
• Accepting my humanness and finding ways of expressing myself that feel authentic
• Softening core memories and responding with increased flexibility and space
• Connecting with my core values and building a purpose-driven lifestyle
I humbly wish to share my practice in the hope that it supports you, too.
I warmly welcome people from all backgrounds and identities. I work with anyone who is curious about working somatically to deepen their self-understanding through the body. You don’t need any prior experience with embodiment or somatics to work with me - just an openness to exploring.

Embodied Counselling: What to Expect in a session
Embodied counselling is a conversational form of somatic therapy. While we might spend some time talking about your experiences, we will also bring attention to how they are alive within the body. Each session is a co-created process, where your intentions and felt experience are met with gentle, grounded curiosity. We may spend time exploring your somatic landscape through structured exercises or abstract inquiry. We may draw attention to posture, movement, breath, or simply allow and witness your somatic process.
Sessions are woven between talking and sensing, allowing space for your living process to unfold. You will be offered choices in how we progress, and I will check in with how the session is landing for you. Every exploration is an invitation - you are encouraged to modify any exploration to suit your specific needs, and a “no” is always welcome. We may also spend time sense-making and integrating - using words to describe your abstract, embodied sensations supports integration of the narrative and the lived experience.
